Curiosity and How to Pique It

When you discover something new, the dopamine reward circuit activates.
Same circuit gets activated when we move to another city or scroll through instagram.
The more curious you are, the higher the activation in the nucleus accumbens and the ventral tegmentum (both involved in the dopamine circuit).
The more curious we are the more likely we are to remember something.
“The degree of craving for knowledge controls the strength of memory”
laughing during learning increases curiosity and therefore makes learning more effective.
