Under the Radar, Subliminal and Unconscious Cuing
Unconscious Priming can be used to influence people without them even noticing. We perceive something neutral as more positive when we have just seen a smiling face (1/20 second is enough).
The same when you put a picture of eyes at a bus stop and people are less likely to drop trash; honesty boxes in an office receive more money as well.
There is also subliminal cuing for beauty. We rather hire attractive people, look at them longer and convict them to crimes less.
And the more expensive a placebo is the more people believe it is helpful.
When we get shown people of another skin color, it is the first thing we notice. In brains of racist people the Amygdala gets more active.
The more racist people are the less blunting when someone of another skin color is harmed.
Things we notice under a second:
gender
social status
social dominance
In der Fußnote steht, dass wir Menschen in verschiedenen Hierarchien sind. Und die wichtigste Hierarchiestruktur ist die, die wir in unserem Kopf basierend auf unseren internen Standards erschaffen. Bestätigt das meine Vermutung und meine Aussage: You don’t get, what you deserve. You get what you take. And you take what you think you deserve
(p.90, Notiz)
and if we are not sure about the person the amygdala gets active
There are pheromones emitted when we sense fear. People around us smell the pheromones and get anxious as well.
When you are at a football game and you need help you are less likely to receive help when you wear the opposite team’s sweatshirt.
