Visual cortex gets involved in reading. Also in blind people. **A strike in the visual cortex makes blind people not being able to read braille anymore. **
Same with the hand. The neurons in the hand work fine. They just don’t have any neurons to talk to.

After being blindfolded for 5 days, auditory projections start remap in the visual cortex, but retract as soon visibility is back.

If you learn something new for a few days, it could be gone if you do not keep on doing that. **The Primary Motor Cortex still expands while practicing, but also retracts if you stop practicing. **
